Loïc Boutet is 17 years in tech. More than 80 projects carried out for clients such as Doctolib, SNCF, Thales, Accor. 15 million in managed budgets. In short, the kind of profile that inspires confidence. And yet, when he launched 5000.dev, his business was around 20,000 a month. Not catastrophic, but far from the potential.
His offer was clear: create a web application in 2 weeks for 5,000 .
Simple, accessible, differentiating. But no one could really see her passing.
Loïc was active on LinkedIn. He published regularly, shared his expertise through carousels. Except that nothing took. Sales came only by word-of-mouth, through his personal network. Impossible to predict, impossible to scale. He was waiting for it to come, and it was coming slowly.
By talking with him, we quickly understood where the blockage came from. His message was addressed to everyone: project leaders, business decision-makers, startups in the testing phase. So he really didn’t talk to anyone. And then there was this misunderstanding around the offer. People saw “$5,000 for a web app in 2 weeks” and asked themselves a thousand questions. What's in it? Why so fast? Is it really possible?
But the real weakness was the lack of video. At that time, LinkedIn was massively pushing the video format. The creators who created it saw their reach explode. Loïc, on the other hand, remained on text and visuals. As a result, he was invisible. His expertise was there, his offer was on the way, but no one could see him.
We built a personal branding video production strategy to turn LinkedIn into a real acquisition channel.
We began by clarifying to whom Loïc was addressing. We refocused all the communication on a single audience: the tech project leaders. Founders who have a product idea and want to test it quickly, without exploding their budget. No more generic messages. A target, a speech.
Then we reworked the message so that it was immediately understandable. MVP, 2 weeks, 2 to 3 essential features, test your market quickly. Simple words that any project leader understands in 2 seconds.
An editorial plan has been structured in three axes. Learning videos to educate the audience and show that Loïc knew what he was talking about. Business videos to generate concrete actions: profile clicks, DMs, call requests. And lighter videos, with a Comic angle, to create engagement and amplify reach.
Each video followed the same logic: a strong hook in the first 3 seconds to stop the scroll, educational content to keep the attention, and a clear call-to-action at the end.
For the filming, we opted for a clean frame. Loïc in costume, sitting at an empty table, in a bright and clear Haussmannian apartment. No decor loaded. Just him, his speech, and a frame that strengthens his visual credibility.
We have produced two types of content. Educational videos: “The 3 misconceptions about software development”, “Nice to Have vs Essential”, “Questions to ask before starting a project”. And videos with shock hooks: “83% of tech projects fail. That’s how to avoid it,” “You think a good product is full of features and a huge budget? “Bad news...”
We published regularly, without spamming, building an embodied and coherent presence week after week.
In 45 days, Loïc’s monthly turnover increased from 20,000 to 50,000. A multiplier of 2.5.
Videos have generated over a million impressions on LinkedIn. Some have exceeded 400,000 views. Her audience soared nearly 40 percent, and she was qualified. Project leaders, founders, people who were looking for exactly what he proposed.
But what has really changed is the dynamics. Before, Loïc waited for the leads to arrive with word of mouth. Now they come to him daily. Qualified DMs, incoming calls, project leaders who arrived saying, “I saw your video, that’s exactly what I need.” They had already understood the offer. They were already convinced.
The perception of supply has also shifted. 5000.dev has become clear: simple, accessible, differentiating. Loïc was no longer a developer among others. He had become a reference on his subject.
When we took stock with him a few weeks later, he told us something simple: “The video, that’s what made me take a course. Not just in visibility. In business.”
